Intern Spotlight: Alma Vasquez-Garcia is a senior intern who also attend Kiamichi Tech. She is interning two hours each day in our elementary school. She helps Mrs. Terry, Ms. Yasmin, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Baker, and Mrs. Bain. Some of the main things that Alma does while interning is grade papers, make copies, put packets together, and help students with their work. Alma says she has learned patience is important when working with children and while she isn't sure what job she would like to have beyond high school, she knows she would like for it to involve children. Our high school counselors like that Alma is volunteering her time each day as an intern, but still yet fulfilling responsibilities like coursework on her own time outside of the school day. We are all so proud of Alma!
