Heavener is one of just 25 districts statewide selected for this multi-year initiative, which will enhance literacy instruction from Early Childhood through High School and extend support to children from birth to age 3 through a partnership with the Heavener Public Library. High School Gifted & Talented students spent an exciting day in Northwest Arkansas, combining fun and learning. We explored Osage Park's 12-acre wetland ecosystem, enjoying its scenic walking trails and pickleball courts. We also visited Crystal Bridges Art Museum, immersing ourselves in incredible artwork. It was a fantastic day full of adventure and discovery.

Our Wolves Archery team recently competed in the state meet results are as follows. Mia Sanchez personal best score of 251 finishing 13th among all 9th grade girls and 42nd of 241 overall; Kyli Weaver personal best score of 250 finishing 12th among 10th grade girls and 45th overall; Garric Morris scored a personal best 216 finishing 38th among 11th grade boys, and Estrella Traver scored a personal best of 216 finishing 29th among 9th grade girls. This is the first archery team we have had in several years, each person shot their personal best at the state meet, congratulations and keep up the hard work! #WolfMeat #AlphyArchery
