OK Career Guide is the online resource used by Heavener High School to complete the required ICAP (Individual Career Academic Plan) of each student. Recently, Heavener High School has not only been listed as being in the TOP TEN schools for leading students in the completion of career assessments, but Heavener has also been listed as #ONE across the state of Oklahoma! John Milroy is the Vice President of Partner Solutions and he stated that Heavener "has the largest % of students using OKCG this year." Way to go Heavener High School, keep leading the state in career exploration for high school students!
Heavener opens the state football playoffs Friday at 7 p.m. at Sequoyah-Tahlequah in a game between two 7-3 teams. It will be the Wolves' first playoff appearance since 2011.
Heavener senior Jackson Clubb signs to play college baseball at Northwestern Oklahoma State Wednesday. He is joined by father, Jodie and brother Spencer on the front row and baseball coach Bryan Cartwright and athletic director Brian Terry.

Heavener cross country runner Seth Lynch earned his first cross country medal from the Meet of Champions Saturday, in addition to the school's first men’s.
Steven Cruz also participated in the meet of champions for Heavener as the top 10 runners from each class participated. Both Cruz and Lynch also will run in Rogers, Arkansas as they earned spots to represent team Oklahoma at Dual State.
The bracket for the Class 2A state football playoff has been released by the OSSAA. Heavener opens at Sequoyah-Tahlequah, believed to be the first matchup between the two schools in football.
Heavener won at Antlers, 26-6 Friday night to finish the regular season 7-3. The Wolves open the playoffs Friday at Sequoyah-Tahlequah.

Wolves finish third at state
EDMOND – Heavener’s boys finished third in the Class 3A state cross country meet Saturday, shattering a school record.
Seth Lynch set a school record while finishing fifth and Steven Cruz was ninth. It was Cruz’s third all-state and Lynch’s second. They both qualified for the upcoming meet of champions with their performances.
Also setting personal records were Isaac Cook, Parker Brand, Abel Carrizales, Galaad Garcia-Perez and Dawson Frizzell.
The Lady Wolves were represented by Allison Palmer and Alexa Cruz.
Heavener gets an interception from Spencer Clubb to clinch a 24-20 win over Spiro Friday night while clinched the Wolves' first playoff appearance since 2011 with a 24-20 win over the Bulldogs.
