Heavener schools, community and patrons , per today’s action from the Oklahoma State Board of Education, and due to the concerns of Covid -19 ( Corona virus ) all schools and school activities will be closed through April 6 across the state. We are in unprecedented times , please take this time to start making the necessary arrangements for your children in regards to child care/daycare. HPS plans to offer food service during the days past spring break that we are closed ..., More information will be forthcoming as the date approaches. Mrs. Rye’s 3rd Grade class is taking advantage of the current situation by starting a handwashing experiment. One piece of bread was untouched by human hands, one was touched by dirty hands, one by hands washed with soap and water, one with hands sanitized with hand sanitizer, and one was touched by a chromebook.
