Mrs. Angie Culwell is a teacher at the Glenn Scott Center. She teaches one of the kindergarten classes here. Although teaching was not always her plan while attending Carl Albert State College and Northeastern State University, she is now glad she picked this career path. After teaching at Heavener for 19 years. Everyday is a good day in the classroom for Culwell; her students make it that way. When asked if she could take her students anywhere in the United States on a trip, she said The White House, because she would like her students to see where the President of the United States works and lives. She would like them to see that one day this could be their job and their house and that anything is possible they set their mind to. “ The best thing is the amount of growth and learning I see of each student from August to May." The worst thing for her is having to say goodbye to her students each year when they move on to first grade. She loves to wear school colors and support all students in their activities and events as they move through each grade level all the way up until they graduate high school.
